VOCA Client Advocate

Job Summary:
The VOCA Client Advocate is a critical role within the Family Services Department of the Squaxin Island Tribe. This position is responsible for implementing the Tribal Client Advocacy Project grant, providing administrative, outreach, and client service support to connect community members who have been victimized by crime with essential services and resources.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and administer the grant contract, ensuring compliance with Squaxin policies and procedures.
- Collect and analyze data to measure the implementation and impact of the program.
- Develop program infrastructure, including case management protocols and resource lists.
- Provide client services, including intake and assessment, safety planning, and case management.
- Conduct education and outreach activities to link the community with services.
- Master's degree or Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related experience, or an Associate's degree with 4 years of related experience, or a High School diploma/GED with 6 years of related experience.
- Typical fields of study or experience include social work, psychology, counseling, planning, conflict resolution, or public administration.
- Professional experience in analogous fields, such as tribal, nonprofit, or public sector.
- Experience working cooperatively with vulnerable or victimized adults.
- Ability to forge productive relationships with Tribal and external social and health services providers.
- Experience preparing informational materials, such as posters and flyers.
- Experience working with Native American communities.
The VOCA Client Advocate will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring flexibility and adaptability. The position may involve occasional travel and requires a valid Washington State Driver's License and insurability.
