We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Scheduler to join our team at Jennie Stuart Health. As a Medical Scheduler, you will be responsible for coordinating medical procedures and ensuring that all necessary information is obtained and documented.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate medical procedures and ensure that all necessary information is obtained and documented
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage
- Communicate with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth scheduling and execution of procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information and scheduling
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of medical procedures
- High school graduate or equivalent
- One year of experience in a related medical setting
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-9, 10, and CPT coding
- Medical administrative certificate
- Experience with McKesson Radiology Management and Resource Scheduling
