We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to join our team at Delaware Technical & Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Paramedics courses and contributing to the development of our Allied Health Department.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver high-quality instruction in Paramedics courses, utilizing effective teaching strategies and technologies to promote student learning and success.
- Assess student learning and provide feedback to students, using a variety of assessment methods to evaluate student progress and understanding.
- Contribute to the development and revision of curriculum, ensuring that courses are aligned with industry standards and College goals.
- Participate in departmental and College-wide initiatives, including program review, accreditation, and professional development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement student learning outcomes, assessments, and evaluations.
- Provide academic advising and support to students, utilizing effective advisement strategies and tools to promote student retention and progression.
- Maintain accurate and timely student records, including grades and attendance.
- Participate in departmental and College-wide meetings, committees, and activities, including advisory committee meetings and student-related events.
- Associate degree in a relevant field, such as Emergency Medical Services or a related field.
- Four (4) years of relevant experience in pre-hospital or emergency medical care, including experience as a Field Training Officer and a preceptor for paramedic students.
- Nationally Registered EMT-Paramedic certification, with PALS, ACLS, and PHTLS-provider level required.
- Delaware Paramedic certification preferred.
