Grande Dunes Surgery Center is a leading provider of outpatient surgical services in the Horry County area, located just blocks away from the ocean in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Our AAAHC-accredited center performs over 750 cases a month in many specialties, including ophthalmology, ENT, gastroenterology, gynecology, orthopedics, plastics, and podiatry.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team in the circulating or scrub role. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and effective nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the instrument and equipment set-up for the OR, utilizing preference cards and anticipating the surgeon's needs.
  • Coordinate and oversee the room during a case as the circulator, facilitating effective and efficient transition between surgical procedures.
  • Utilize appropriate body mechanics in moving patients to stretchers and OR tables to prevent injury.
  • Manage patient care and medication, including assistance with anesthesia.
  • Consistently review charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocols prior to and after the surgical procedure.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an operating room setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
  • Active RN license as required by state of employment or appropriate compact licensure.
  • Valid BCLS Certification upon employment.
  • ACLS as required by facility.
  • CNOR certification preferred.
