Program Overview

At Securian Financial Group, we offer a unique opportunity for undergraduate students to gain hands-on experience in the actuarial field. Our internship program is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience, allowing students to explore the profession and develop valuable skills.

As an intern, you will have the chance to work on real-world projects, collaborating with experienced professionals to drive business results. Responsibilities

The actuarial internship program has two primary goals: to provide students with an opportunity to explore the actuarial field and to identify potential full-time talent. As an intern, you will be involved in a variety of actuarial research activities, including expense studies, lapse studies, rate management analysis, product pricing, process automation, and more.

These projects will provide an overall exposure to the profession of actuarial science, allowing you to develop a deeper understanding of the field and its applications. You will work collaboratively with teams to achieve milestones and improvements, prioritizing personal growth and development opportunities.

Requirements

To be eligible for this internship, you must be a successful track record in a four-year degree program, in Math or Actuarial Science. You should also possess proven project and people leadership skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, and strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

We are unable to pursue candidates who would require Visa sponsorship now or in the future. This internship is intended for undergraduate students who will be completing their degree in December '25 or May '26.
