Key Responsibilities- Assess, Plan, Implement, and Evaluate Patient Care: The RN Team Lead assesses patient needs, develops and implements individualized care plans, and evaluates patient outcomes to achieve optimal results.
- Lead the Patient Care Team: This position utilizes leadership principles to mobilize the patient care team, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving to achieve positive patient outcomes.
- Develop and Implement Quality Improvement Initiatives: The RN Team Lead assists in identifying areas for quality improvement, develops and implements initiatives to address these areas, and evaluates the effectiveness of these initiatives.
- Provide Coaching and Development Opportunities: This position provides coaching and development opportunities to staff members, assisting them in achieving their professional goals and advancing their careers.
- Manage Schedules and Resources: The RN Team Lead assists in managing schedules and resources, ensuring that the department has the necessary staff and equipment to provide high-quality patient care.
- Education: Graduate of a school of professional nursing from an accredited college.
- Experience: Two years of experience in a clinical discipline, with a preference for experience in leadership or management roles.
- Licensure/Certification: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligible to obtain Virginia RN licensure. Obtain CPR and ACLS certifications, as needed.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in electronic medical records (EPIC) and other relevant software applications.
