The RN Team Lead serves as a clinical resource person, role model, coach, and facilitator for staff and department operations. With the responsibility and authority to lead their work group, you will resolve routine issues, create a positive, productive, and fiscally responsible work unit, and promote positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to achieve optimum patient outcomes.
- Utilize leadership principles to mobilize the patient care team and achieve positive patient outcomes.
- Assist manager/directors in ensuring staff competence and contribute to staff performance development.
- Assist with and/or prepare work schedules for the department or work group.
- Conduct individual and/or team meetings with the work group to ensure effective two-way communication, address needs and issues, and resolve items brought to their attention.
- Graduate of a school of professional nursing of an accredited college.
- Two years of clinical experience preferred; one year of clinical experience required with demonstrated clinical and leadership expertise.
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligible to obtain Virginia RN licensure.
- Obtain CPR and as needed ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications.
- Computer skills required for electronic medical record (EPIC).
