Data Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our Global Finance team at International Paper. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data systems and processes to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into target data stores.
- Develop and maintain data flows using established templates and best practices.
- Query and validate data across multiple sources, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Monitor data quality and implement measures to clean and optimize data in ETL processes.
- Develop and maintain data source documentation, backup, and recovery procedures as needed.
- Adhere to prescribed data analytic methodology and follow established test protocols to ensure accurate data entry into production.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Engineering, Business/Data Analytics, or Business Information Systems.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in data engineering.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Highly preferred knowledge of SQL.
- Preferred working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI/Power Automate/Power Apps and Alteryx.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships, collaborate with others, engage in constructive conflict, and manage interpersonal dynamics.
- Willingness to champion continuous learning and deliberate improvement to build sustainable solutions.
