Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vascular Technologist to join our team at St. Peter's Health Partners. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing vascular and interventional diagnostic imaging procedures, operating and adjusting imaging equipment, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all vascular and interventional diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Operate and adjust imaging equipment to optimize vascular and interventional images.
  • Obtain and record complete clinical histories pertinent to the examination, explain procedures to patients, and position patients and equipment appropriately.
  • Evaluate requests for appropriateness and refer concerns to coordinators and/or radiologists.
  • Compress and evaluate arterial and venous puncture sites.
  • Assist in the instruction of student technologists and new personnel.
  • Maintain aseptic technique during procedures and scrub with physicians.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent hospital-based certificate program.
  • Advanced certification in Cardiovascular/Interventional Technology preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • License from the New York State Education Department to practice in Radiologic Technology.
  • Ability to access and interpret lab values and patient monitoring equipment.
  • Knowledge of inventories available and their applications (catheters, guidewires, and stents).
Compensation

Pay range: $45.70 per hour. Shift differential and pay based on experience, skills, and education.
