We are seeking a licensed nurse practitioner to join our team in the Maui Lani Medical Offices - After Hours Clinic - 1208. This is a part-time position that requires approximately 32 hours of work per week, with variable shifts and potential travel up to 5% of the time.
About the RoleThis Nurse Practitioner position involves providing direct and indirect nursing care in an outpatient setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and preparing medical records, identifying patient needs, and implementing basic nursing procedures as prescribed by the practitioner.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a clinic setting, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They should also be knowledgeable about immunization requirements, vaccine inventory management, and infection control protocols.
Responsibilities- Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients in an outpatient setting.
- Review and prepare medical records for assigned patients.
- Identify patient needs and implement basic nursing procedures as prescribed by the practitioner.
- Manage vaccine inventory, including ordering, storing, and administering vaccines according to Health plan and VFC guidelines.
- Facilitate compliance with immunization clinics, following health plan, federal, and state guidelines.
- Collaborate with RN/Practitioner to revise teaching plans and ensure patient understanding of instructions.
To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Be a licensed practical nurse (Hawaii) at hire.
- Have Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skill in conflict resolution, customer service, oral communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and written communication.
Prior nursing experience, particularly in a clinic setting, is preferred. Additionally, demonstrated knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet PC applications can be beneficial in this role.
