Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nurse to join our team in Hawaii. As an LPN Clinic I (Meds), you will provide direct and indirect nursing care in an outpatient setting, working under the direction of a Registered Nurse and medical orders from a Practitioner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reviews and prepares medical records for assigned patients, initiating follow-up as needed, and reviewing patient needs to identify and prepare orders for authorization by a Practitioner.
  • Implements basic nursing procedures per plan of care, administering treatments, immunizations, and medications as prescribed, preparing medications for use, performing point-of-care testing as authorized, and providing laboratory, x-ray, and other reports to a Practitioner for review.
  • Documents implementation of orders/interventions, records findings, instructions, and patient responses on appropriate forms or online records, using department and JCAHO standards.
  • Observes patients' and families' responses to care plans, reporting unexpected responses to RNs or Practitioners, and collaborating with RN/Practitioner to revise care plans when needed.
  • Demonstrates competency in basic nursing skills and equipment usage, maintains current knowledge and skills, attends staff meetings as needed, participates in projects as requested, and coordinates tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • Twelve months (2080 hours) of LPN experience required.
  • Hawaii State Board of Nursing-approved curriculum for LPN licensure required.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (Hawaii) licensure required at hire.
  • Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Acute care nursing experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet PC applications preferred.

Estimated Salary Range

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
