Job Summary

The Member Services Representative plays a vital role in providing exceptional service to BayPort Credit Union members. This position requires a strong ability to communicate effectively, build relationships, and resolve member issues in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized service to members, addressing their needs and concerns in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Process and maintain loan requests, including mortgage loan products, and provide detailed information to members.
  • Open new accounts, complete the credit union onboarding process, and maintain accurate records.
  • Respond to member requests, problems, and concerns through email, phone, and written correspondence.
  • Educate members on credit union products and services that meet their needs, recommending solutions that benefit both parties.
  • Cultivate and retain member relationships by providing quality service with a positive attitude.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of general credit union operational procedures, including cash handling, teller duties, member services, and loan processes.
  • Education up to the equivalent of a four-year high school education.
  • Previous teller experience or member service experience is required.
  • Accurate cash handling skills, ability to operate a PC, adding machine, credit card, and check image equipment, calculator, and other job-related office equipment.
