About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cost Estimator to join our team at United Tool LLC. As a Cost Estimating Engineer, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with manufacturing processes and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and review RFQs from customers
  • Collaborate with the product design team to provide cost estimates for new product development and fixture design
  • Estimate time and confirm material costs from the database and customer-supplied blueprints
  • Communicate effectively with customers and vendors
  • Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
  • Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
  • Assist in negotiating business opportunities and closing deals
Requirements
  • Proficiency in using English language for reading, writing, and speaking
  • Manufacturing/Machining experience in CNC Milling & CNC turning
  • Ability to understand and read blueprints
  • Strong Math skills
  • Proficient in computer skills
  • Industry Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T and shop math skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications
