Job Summary:

At Barrier Technologies, we are seeking a skilled Field Technician to join our team. As a Field Technician, you will work in new and commercial buildings, performing installations, curtain wall insulation, waterproofing, joint sealants, air barriers, fireproofing, fire stopping, expansion joints, and perimeter joints.

You will report to the site foreman or the General Foreman or the Superintendent and use your knowledge to execute projects to specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Installing caulking in expansion, contraction, and control joints in various materials, including interior and exterior masonry, carpentry door frames, windows, louvers, coping joints, concrete paving joints, saw cuts in concrete, EIFS and hardcoat stucco joints.
  • Utilizing caulking guns and basic hand tools as needed.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Preferred Experience:
  • Working knowledge of basic tools and materials.
  • Comfortable working at various heights and in all weather conditions.
  • 1+ years of commercial construction experience preferred.
  • History of good attendance and reliability.
  • Ability to solve problems efficiently and effectively with limited direction and supervision.
  • Working knowledge of commercial construction jobsite safety rules.
Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Transport tools and materials frequently.

Working extended hours, including evenings and weekends may be required.

  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must pass drug screen, criminal background check, and driver's license check.
