Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Agricultural Lending Specialist to join our team at Farm Credit Council. As a key member of our lending team, you will be responsible for developing new business relationships with agricultural producers, rural landowners, and business leaders in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to grow our portfolio of commercial and real estate loans.
  • Review loan applications and make recommendations on loan approval, structure, and pricing.
  • Work with credit analysts to evaluate loan collateral and ensure proper lien perfection.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to ensure our lending practices are aligned with best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Ag Economics, or related field.
  • Three or more years of experience as a loan officer or loan officer associate, or commensurate title.
  • Excellent business development skills, with a strong understanding of credit knowledge and risk assessment.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Basic to moderate skill set in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Strong business development skills, with a focus on growing our portfolio of commercial and real estate loans.
  • General knowledge of accounting and financial systems, with the ability to perform intermediate-level accounting and financial analysis.

At the discretion of Farm Credit Council, position may be offered at alternate titles and other business experience may be considered relevant.
