We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Supply Chain Manager to become a vital part of our organization. In this position, your main duty will be to devise and execute strategies for effective sourcing, overseeing, and manufacturing intricate hardware subassemblies for our industrial 3D weaving technology. We are looking for an individual with a robust background in supply chain management for industrial machinery, particularly from the prototype stage to initial production.
In this role, you will serve as the essential connection between engineering, operations, and manufacturing, nurturing relationships with external contract manufacturing partners and establishing timelines for internal teams. We are in search of someone who has navigated similar challenges in the past and is enthusiastic about the opportunities and challenges of working in a startup environment.

We have developed a proprietary and patent-pending technology that merges 3D printing with automated textile manufacturing. By bypassing the traditional flat 2D fabric stage, we can additively create custom apparel products directly from yarn to the final item. If you are excited about additive manufacturing, industrial automation, and synchronized systems involving numerous sensors and actuators, we would love to engage in a conversation.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the comprehensive supply chain strategy for Vega as we transition from Beta to Production level machines.
- Identify and qualify suppliers to establish scalable manufacturing and dependable sourcing processes.
- Collaborate closely with contract manufacturers to ensure alignment on production timelines, quality benchmarks, and delivery schedules.
- Develop and maintain successful global supplier partnerships.
- Create scalable processes and build trust with engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and global operations teams.
- Recognize potential risks and ensure adherence to relevant regulations, promoting sustainable and ethical sourcing practices.
- Contribute to the growth of the unspun Engineering Operations team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
- 5+ years of proven experience in manufacturing for tangible products from early prototype designs to initial mass production.
- A history of establishing production lines and delivering large-scale hardware.
- Experience with advanced robotics systems and industrial manufacturing machinery.
- Exceptional analytical and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- A strong sense of ownership, urgency, and motivation.
- Someone eager to collaborate closely with the unspun product development team to fulfill our external contract obligations.
- Passion for weaving, carbon reduction, advanced technology, or all of the above.
- Demonstrated technical leadership experience in cross-functional engineering projects.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards for capital equipment and machinery, including safety, environmental, and industry-specific compliance requirements.
- Experience in the EU markets or textile industries.
