Civil Engineer Graduate Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Graduate Civil Engineer to join our team at Arup. As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from concept to construction, and contribute to the delivery of sustainable and innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver concept-to-construction design of stormwater management systems, critical utility networks, site grading and layout, and roadway and pavement infrastructure
- Utilize 3D modeling software such as Autodesk Civil 3D to support multi-disciplinary design processes
- Produce final project deliverables, including plans, profiles, details, and specifications
- Use Hydraulic modeling tools such as InfoWorks, Hydraflow, and EPANET to analyze and design stormwater, sanitary, potable water systems, and flood protection systems
- Research and apply codes, specifications, and standards for design of the above elements
- Coordinate with other disciplines to apply skills in delivering sustainable outcomes
- Apply understanding of all phases of the planning, design, and construction process
- Research requirements of regulatory environment for gaining approval at different stages of project delivery
- Engage with stakeholders, collaborators, and clients to develop designs that align with project goals and drivers
- Support development of report writing, calculation packages, and specifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in civil engineering or relevant engineering degree
- Sound knowledge of civil engineering fundamentals
- Professional demeanor
- Good communication skills essential for team-based working
- Ability to perform in a deadline-driven environment
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment
- Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment
- Must be highly motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges
- EIT/FE Certification preferred
- Proficient with civil engineering design and analysis tools for roads, rail, and/or water systems preferred
- Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D software preferred
- Past internship or extracurricular activity in site development preferred
- Personal investment in academic or extracurricular field preferred

Los Angeles Hiring Range: $72,500 to $79,500 per year. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Los Angeles, CA will differ.
