In this role at TechSource, you will support the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) and the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) on the Scorpius project. As a Lead Tail Kit Assembly Engineer, you will be responsible for planning and executing the TKA aging and surveillance test program, ensuring engineering rigor and discipline during various TKA and weapon system tests. This includes supporting the NNSA's Retrofit Evaluation Stockpile Testing and participating in programs such as Nuclear Weapon System Evaluation Programs (NucWSEPs), Joint Integrated Lab Tests (JILT), and TKA AF Component Lab Tests (AFCLT).
What You Will Do:
- Support AFNWC/NDS planning and execution of the TKA aging and surveillance test program and ensure engineering rigor and discipline are applied during various TKA and weapon system tests.
- Analyze test data by using reliability and statistical software packages to verify system performance, survivability, vulnerability, and system effectiveness.
- Support AFNWC/NDS planning and execution of the TKA aging and surveillance test program and ensure engineering rigor and discipline are applied during various TKA and weapon system tests.
- This role will require monthly work travel.
Requirements:
What You Will Need:
- An active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility - candidates without a clearance will not be considered.
- +12 years of experience in on-aircraft and laboratory systems testing and execution.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or related field.
- Knowledge of MIL-STD-1553 and MIL-STD-1760 communication architecture and protocols.
- Knowledge of nuclear weapon integration and certification processes and criteria.
- Ability to perform analysis and testing of complex systems and data.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility.
Preferred:
- Nuclear weapon system background highly desired.
- Familiarity with air delivered weapons and associated platforms.
