Position Summary:
We are seeking a Culinary Services Supervisor to enhance our team.
- Support the Area Director of Culinary Services by managing dining room operations, including supervising and assisting dining services team members.
- Maintain a resident-focused approach while managing dining traffic and balancing serving responsibilities among staff.
- Ensure visibility during meal times by welcoming residents, addressing their concerns, and fulfilling their needs.
- Prepare staff schedules and assign tasks, including table assignments and closing duties.
- Ensure that uniform and personal appearance standards are met, along with customer service and proper food handling protocols.
- Train dining staff on operational procedures and menu knowledge.
- Encourage resident engagement during meals to monitor satisfaction and address any concerns regarding food service.
- Uphold the highest quality and safety standards in food and beverage sanitation and service.
- Maintain cleanliness and control standards in the dining area and service stations.
- Ensure that hygiene, attire, and health standards are consistently upheld by the dining team.
- Comply with state and federal regulations.
- Monitor food quality for presentation, temperature, and portion sizes, providing feedback to kitchen staff as necessary.
- Evaluate table service for timing, etiquette, and thoroughness, offering hospitality training as needed.
- Adjust resident accounts for meal accuracy.
- Ensure proper setup of floor charts and tables.
- Assist servers with table service as required.
- Support ordering in designated areas while adhering to budgetary guidelines.
- Assist the Director with timekeeping procedures as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of experience in fine dining.
- Previous supervisory experience in a dining room setting is preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
