Position Summary:
This role encompasses a range of responsibilities associated with the observation and tracking of video EEG in the Pediatric Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (PEMU). The Monitor Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of pediatric patients undergoing EEG monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure continuous and effective video and audio surveillance of EEG patients utilizing XLTEK equipment, promptly addressing any recording issues that may arise.
- Maintain and disseminate current recording status updates for ongoing continuous EEG assessments.
- Engage in ongoing education and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Execute various job-related tasks as assigned to support the unit's operations.
