The Neurodiagnostic Specialist at Armina Health plays a critical role in ensuring that all patients receive timely and effective healthcare. This role acts as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to facilitate optimal care and support. This position communicates consistently and effectively with patients, providers, and leadership. The EEG Technician is a member of the Armina Health team who will follow patient care for all locations. Minimal travel required, 10%.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform qEEG records according to laboratory standards.
  • Write patient histories, gathering information from medical history, including seizure types, date of last seizure, and other neurological symptomatology and medications; explain test procedures to patients and family members present.
  • Implement alternative methods or adjust controls to obtain optimal recordings. This may include control setting changes on the machine, use of extra electrodes, extra montages, and activation procedures.
  • Recognize and document artifacts (patient or environmental); eliminate or take proper measures to monitor them.
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and repair them or report to the supervisor promptly.
  • Monitor supplies and order them as needed.
  • Adhere to infection control and safety procedures, ensuring the cleanliness and sterility of equipment and examination environments.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of job-related experience is preferred.
  • Experience working in EEG is required.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Work closely with healthcare providers to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Schedule appointments, manage patient files, and maintain communication with all parties involved in patient care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in healthcare IT systems, including electronic health records (EHR).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality care to underserved populations.
  • Ability to work independently.
