Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our team as a contract Social Worker for the school year. This is a full-time position that will involve working with middle school and high school students with special needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide social work services to students with special needs, including individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and case management.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' strengths and areas of need, and develop strategies to support their social and emotional growth.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress and involve them in the educational process.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education and social work.
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field.
- Valid Social Worker credential/license or in process in state of practice.
- At least one year of verifiable, professional experience as a Social Worker within the last three years.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
