Position Overview:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Pediatrics department, you will be based in a dynamic setting where your skills will be utilized to their fullest potential. This full-time position involves a structured schedule, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while contributing to patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide and document nursing care in accordance with established protocols.
2. Deliver patient education and assist in coordinating care with other healthcare providers.
3. Accurately document all patient interactions and clinical activities in the electronic health record (EHR).
4. Prepare patients for consultations by collecting essential information such as:
- Vital signs
- Current medications
- Chief complaints and medical history
5. Conduct patient triage in alignment with established guidelines.
6. Manage patient communications, including phone inquiries and appointment scheduling.
7. Administer treatments, injections, and preventive screenings as required.
8. Educate patients on self-management of their health conditions.
9. Facilitate the ordering of tests and prescriptions in compliance with organizational policies.
10. Monitor and manage tasks to ensure timely follow-up on patient care and referrals.

Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current LPN licensure in the State of Connecticut.
- Basic proficiency in computer applications.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience in pediatric care.
- Familiarity with phone triage and electronic medical record systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
