About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Developer to join our team at the Department of Innovation and Technology. As an Application Developer, you will play a critical role in supporting the Department of Human Services by writing, debugging, testing, and documenting new programs or updates to existing programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with users to determine technical needs and perform intermediate-level application development tasks.
  • Document data, system, program flows, and production information as directed.
  • Keep abreast of new developments in the Information Technology field.
Requirements
  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of two (2) years of college with coursework in computer science or directly related fields.
  • Requires one (1) year of professional experience in a related Information Technology field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One (1) year of professional experience in Java-based web development, DB2, and Rational Application Developer (RAD) or Eclipse and WebSphere.
  • One (1) year of professional experience using Adobe LiveCycle.
