About the Role

Fisher Associates PE, LS, LA, DPC is seeking a highly skilled Project Surveyor to join our team of experts in land development and engineering. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and precision of our land surveying services, while also providing exceptional client service and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Supervise survey technicians, field crews, and CADD technicians to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
  • Survey Calculations and Control Adjustments: Perform routine and complex survey calculations and control adjustments to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Record Research and CADD Drafting: Perform, assign, or assist with records research and CADD drafting assignments to support project development.
  • Boundary Determinations and Land Ownership: Analyze boundary evidence and parcel/ROW records to determine property boundaries and land ownership details.
  • Topographic Mapping and Surveying: Create detailed topographic maps and surveys to provide essential data for project planning and design.
  • Client Relationships and Communication: Maintain positive client relationships, understanding project requirements, and facilitating all deliverables to ensure an outstanding customer experience.
  • Quality Assurance and Quality Control: Provide QA/QC on survey work completed for all sectors.
  • Mentorship and Training: Act as a mentor to those less experienced members of the project team.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Associate or Bachelor's degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or a related field, with previous experience in land surveying and proficiency in surveying software and equipment.
  • Professional Qualifications: Professional Survey License required.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of all aspects of land surveying, including boundary determinations, control adjustments, topographic surveying/mapping, NYSDOT Standards and Procedures, and ALTA requirements. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation preferred.
