Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive wound care services to patients, including assessment, treatment, and education.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Enter and evaluate data, maintain accurate patient charting, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest wound care research, technologies, and best practices.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field required.
  • Certifications/Licenses: Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with current New Mexico license or compact state license.
  • Skills:
    • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records.
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
    • Strong patient advocacy and education skills.
    • Ability to read, understand, and implement professional journals and regulatory documents.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in general nursing, wound care, and outpatient clinical operations.
Working Conditions
  • Exposure to infectious disease, bloodborne pathogens, and caustic chemicals.
  • Occasional unpredictable physically demanding situations.
  • Must be able to handle emergency/crisis situations and move or assist in moving patients and equipment.
