Job Summary

Certification and Requirements
  • BLS certification is required.
  • CST national certification is not required, but registration with the Washington State Department of Health is mandatory.
  • Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program is necessary.
  • A valid Washington State license is required at the time of application.
Job Details
  • This is a travel position with a specialty in OR Tech.
  • We have 22 operating suites, with the potential to expand to 26 on three different floors.
  • Average daily case volume is 50-65.
  • Common cases include GYN, Uro, Vascular, Plastic, Ortho, Neuro, Cardiovascular, Thoracic, General, and Sports Medicine procedures.
Requirements
  • One year of experience in scrubbing is required.
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
  • Davinci XI experience is required for Gyn, Uro, and General cases.
Schedule Information
  • Shifts are 4-10 hours, with variable start times from 6:30 AM to 11:00 AM, Monday to Friday.
  • Start times are kept consistent within the same week.
  • Tuesdays and Fridays have later start times for in-services and team meetings.
  • One call per 4-week schedule is required.
  • Weekday call begins at the end of the shift until 7:00 AM the next morning.
  • Weekend call is 24 hours, scheduled by the manager.
Unit Specific Information
  • A Charge Nurse/House Supervisor is available on-site.
  • No weekend or holiday call requirements.
  • Floating requirements are minimal.
  • Scrub color/dress code is teal, with scrubs provided.
Additional Details
  • Physicians and team members are supportive and willing to teach.
  • Travelers tend to extend their stay as long as possible.
