Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant I to join our team at UNC Health. As a key member of our Patient Monitoring Unit, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with routine examinations and procedures.
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care, including vital sign measurements, specimen collection, and personal care.
  • Document patient information and report significant changes in patient condition to registered nurses or physicians.
  • Assist patients and families during admission, orientation, and discharge.
  • Provide care and treatments as outlined in the plan of care, including wound care, range of motion exercises, and patient education.
  • Reinforce teaching given by registered nurses or physicians and document patient understanding of instructions.
Requirements
  • Must be listed as Nursing Assistant I with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Prefer six (6) months of nursing assistant experience.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a standard schedule of 36 hours per week. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.
