Job Summary

Corden Pharma Boulder Inc. is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Electrical Technician Lead to join our team. This role will provide leadership for production, production development, and administrative areas, identifying, planning, coordinating performance, and executing instrumentation and electrical installations and maintenance activities 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships between Manufacturing, R&D, internal support, regulatory groups, and customers related to assigned duties
  • Develop, review, and approve calibration procedures and instrument designs, managing certification of calibration equipment and reference standards
  • Identify, prioritize, and schedule work tasks to meet production needs, capital project schedules, and equipment maintenance/calibration schedules
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Instrumentation and Electrical Technicians, developing them in providing high-quality work, targeting Right First Time
  • Evaluate and identify methods to achieve reliability of electrical and instrumentation installations, ensuring robust installation standards, techniques, and qualification methods, compliant systems and procedures, and adequate designs
  • Self-direct and follow up on deficiencies identified from operational issues, identifying gaps in plant/facility repairs, and acting as an active team member in identifying solutions
  • Clearly communicate issues and problems to vendors and others, offering reliable solutions while considering code and safety concerns
  • Lead programs to plan, execute, review, and improve instrumentation and electrical maintenance reliability activities, participating in the resolution of reliability-related operational, process, equipment, and maintenance problems to prevent operational upsets
  • Provide input to the annual operating budget and communicate issues with adherence within budget targets
  • Implement and maintain adherence to all company policies concerning Environmental, Health, Safety, Quality, and Human Resources
  • Coordinate contractor activities and service payments
Leadership and Budget Responsibilities

The Lead is responsible for their assigned I&E Technicians, providing overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of a work unit. They carry out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, creating requisitions, and getting approval before major purchases, providing input to developing expense and capital budgets, and training employees.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 10 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Preferred Qualifications
  • CO State Electrical Journeyman's license or equivalent of 10 years of industrial, electrical experience
  • CCST Level II/III certification preferred (Certified Control Systems Technician)
