Schedule Overview:

3rd Shift from Tuesday to Friday, 22:45-07:15, with alternating Mondays included. Holiday and call rotations are part of the role.

Sign-on bonus eligibility based on experience and full-time equivalent (FTE).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Effectively performs fundamental and intermediate radiographic procedures, including general diagnostic imaging and fluoroscopy.
  • Engages with patients to clarify procedures, gather clinical history, confirm understanding, and address any inquiries or concerns.
  • Positions patients and selects exposure parameters for various radiologic examinations, ensuring patient safety and radiation protection according to established protocols.
  • Identifies patients and accurately labels images, verifying requisitions against physician orders to ensure exam precision, and processes images to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Collaborates and communicates with Radiologists as necessary.
  • Maintains accurate records in compliance with regulatory standards, entering patient and study data into the radiology information system, and documenting billing codes for procedures performed to ensure precise patient charges.
  • Performs patient positioning and transportation tasks, which may involve lifting and pushing/pulling, while adhering to proper techniques.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care, understanding the principles of growth and development across the lifespan, and assessing data reflective of the patient's condition to identify their specific needs.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
  • Radiographer license issued by the state, and
  • Registered Technologist (RT) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association (AHA) to be obtained within six months.
Educational Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in Radiologic Technology beyond high school.
Experience Requirements:
  • No prior experience necessary.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
  • Proficient in radiology positioning and techniques.
  • Understanding of basic radiation safety and radiology equipment.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills to collaborate effectively with physicians, patients, and staff.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Intermediate computer proficiency.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Must be capable of sitting, standing, walking, lifting, squatting, bending, twisting, and reaching frequently throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for the majority of the day.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs. overhead, and carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance.
  • Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with assistance.
  • Exposure to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiation hazards, as well as blood and body fluids; personal protective equipment must be utilized as necessary.
  • Clear speech, vision, and hearing are essential.
  • Operates all necessary equipment to perform the job effectively.
