We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as an On-Call Nurse. This role will provide exceptional care, comfort, and support to patients and their families in the Bergen County area.

Responsibilities:
  • Respond to distress calls and provide nursing care, emotional support, and education to patients and families.
  • Conduct initial assessments of patients and families to determine hospice care needs and regularly re-evaluate their nursing needs.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team, patient, and family to direct the work of the team and provide continuous and well-coordinated care.
  • Counsel patients and families in meeting end-of-life needs and initiate preventative nursing procedures as needed.
  • Communicate with physicians regarding patient needs and report any changes in the patient's condition.
Requirements:
  • Current NJ RN License in good standing.
  • Hospice experience preferred.
  • Ability to work nights, including weekends, and an on-call schedule (one week on, one week off).
  • Reliable transportation with liability insurance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
