Job Summary: The Radiology Technologist performs diagnostic-imaging procedures in the Diagnostic Imaging Department, including general radiography, mobile C-arm, portable x-ray exams, and Ortho Clinic assistance. This role requires learning under the department manager and coordinator, referring to the procedure manual, and assisting physicians/radiologists. The position involves assessing, treating, or caring for patients of all age categories and demonstrating age-specific competency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic-imaging procedures, including general radiography, mobile C-arm, and portable x-ray exams.
  • Assist physicians/radiologists as required.
  • Assess, treat, or care for patients of all age categories.
  • Learn under the department manager and coordinator.
  • Refer to the procedure manual.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Diagnostic Radiologic Technology.
  • Certification from the State of California as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Evidence of continuing education in the Science of Radiologic Technology.
  • CPR Certified.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sit: up to 3 hours/day.
  • Stand/Walk: 6-8 hours.
  • Bend/Stoop: up to 3 hours.
  • Reach: up to 6 hours.
  • Rep Use of UE/Grasp: up to 6 hours.
  • Lift/Push/Pull: 25lbs, over 25# with assistance or equipment.

This role requires the ability to hear alarms, clients, and/or instruction. The ability to see accurately from 20 inches to 20-ft is also necessary. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
