Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging Department at Children's Hospital & Research Center Oakland. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic-imaging procedures, including general radiography, mobile C-arm, and portable x-ray exams. They will work under the direction of the department manager and coordinator, learning and growing in their role. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, treating, or caring for patients of all age categories and demonstrate age-specific competency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic-imaging procedures, including general radiography, mobile C-arm, and portable x-ray exams.
  • Work under the direction of the department manager and coordinator, learning and growing in their role.
  • Assess, treat, or care for patients of all age categories and demonstrate age-specific competency.
  • Assist physicians/radiologists when required.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Diagnostic Radiologic Technology.
  • Certification from the State of California as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Evidence of continuing education in the Science of Radiologic Technology.
  • CPR Certified.
  • Minimum 0-2 years of experience as a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist; pediatric experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sit: Up to 3 hours/day.
  • Stand/Walk: 6-8 hours.
  • Bend/Stoop: Up to 3 hours.
  • Reach: Up to 6 hours.
  • Rep Use of UE/Grasp: Up to 6 hrs.
  • Lift/Push/Pull: 25lbs, over 25# with assistance or equipment.

The ability to hear alarms, clients, and/or instruction is required. The ability to see accurately from 20 inches to 20-ft is also necessary. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
