ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow process documentation or verbal directives to determine the necessary operations for constructing diverse components that fulfill contractual obligations.
Utilize standard equipment to address in-process issues such as resin imbalances, trapped air, or delamination.
Mix materials including resins, catalysts, fillers, accelerators, and colors as per specifications.
Set up and operate forming machines and presses, or apply laminates to molds or bonding fixtures to shape components.
Encase bonding fixtures or molds in vacuum-sealing materials, connect fittings for vacuum lines, thermocouples, and probes, and evacuate air from the vacuum bag to prepare for curing or bonding.
Cut materials to specified dimensions using shears, knives, cutters, or saws.Mark cutting lines on materials such as sheet stock or fiberglass, following templates, blueprints, or sample parts, using measuring and marking tools.
Configure and operate curing ovens and autoclaves to achieve specified outcomes as required.Cure products using heat lamps or ovens, ensuring proper connections for heating and cooling, and adjusting steam pressure and water valves as necessary.
Verify completed work using precision measuring tools such as verniers, height gauges, and micrometers.Conduct structural tests with mechanical equipment to confirm bond line integrity.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
MUST BE A U.S. PERSON:
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
To comply with federal requirements, employees must provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 or obtain an approved accommodation for medical or religious reasons.
A High School Diploma is required, with preference given to candidates who have completed additional coursework in a relevant field.
2-4 years of experience in roles such as Composite Technician, Assembler, or Machinist within the Aerospace, Automotive, or Marine Manufacturing sectors is preferred.
