The Faith Formation Support Coordinator at the Catholic Diocese Of Fort Worth is integral to advancing the Church's mission within the community.

This role provides crucial administrative and logistical support to the Adult Catechesis and Evangelization Coordinator, as well as the Children's Catechesis Director.

Responsibilities span various domains, including Elementary and Spanish Catechesis, RCIA, Sacrament Preparation, and Adult Evangelization and Catechesis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general administrative duties such as copying, filing, and data entry.
  • Report directly to the Director of Evangelization and Catechesis.
  • Manage updates for the bulletin and website in collaboration with the Communications Director.
  • Organize and maintain student rosters and attendance records.
  • Assist in sacrament preparation initiatives.
  • Coordinate Sacrament Preparation Discernment Interviews.
  • Support annual catechesis registration processes.
  • Address inquiries regarding departmental policies and programs.
  • Keep accurate records of program participants and volunteers.
  • Engage in parish staff activities, including meetings and educational sessions.
  • Oversee record management for R.C.I.A.
  • Provide assistance for R.C.I.A. events, including Rites into the Church and the Easter Vigil.
  • Prepare financial reports for the Catechesis department.

Supervision:

  • Supervise volunteers and assist in volunteer recruitment efforts.
  • Report to the Pastor or Director of Formation.

Internal Collaborations:

  • Pastor

External Collaborations:

  • Adult Volunteers
  • Parishioners

Working Conditions:

  • Work in diverse environments such as parish halls, classrooms, gyms, and office settings.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and perform computer-related tasks.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
  • Maintain a healthy work-life balance.
  • Capable of lifting items up to 30 pounds.

Travel Requirements:

  • No travel is necessary for this position.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  • Committed follower of Jesus Christ and the Roman Catholic Church.
  • High School diploma is required; college education is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, including effective time management and delegation.
  • Ability to interact positively with individuals of all ages.
  • Completion of the Parish Safe Environment process is necessary.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is expected.

FLSA Designation: Non-exempt

Job Grade: Part-time
