Job DescriptionRushmore Construction is seeking a highly skilled Construction Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records, financial statements, and other financial reports. Your expertise will help us make informed business decisions and drive growth.Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Develop and analyze financial reports to provide insights into business operations and budgets.
  • Perform audits to ensure adherence to standard requirements and identify areas for improvement.
  • Create new processes to improve financial efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Report analysis and findings to the management team to inform business decisions.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools.
  • Detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Administrative and bookkeeping work within our construction company.
  • Draft purchase orders and change orders.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries.
  • File permits and manage subcontractor insurance and billing.
  • Scheduling and other tasks as needed.
