Senior Digital Hardware Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Hardware Electrical Engineer to join our team at Collins Aerospace. As a key member of our Mission Systems team, you will play a critical role in the design and development of digital hardware for our communications products.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop digital hardware for communications products, including printed wiring boards (PWBs) and other electronic components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including layout engineers, systems engineers, mechanical engineers, test engineers, and FPGA & Software engineers to ensure successful project completion.
- Develop and maintain design documentation, including schematics, layouts, and bill of materials (BOMs).
- Ensure compliance with design checklists, accepted processes, and industry standards.
- Participate in the development of high-power signal routing rules and planes definition, stack-up design, and DRC checks.
- Contribute to the creation of assembly drawings and packaging documentation.
- Validate Gerber and ODB++ files.
- Develop and maintain a good working knowledge of Microsoft Suite and other relevant tools.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure successful project completion and adapt to rapidly changing circumstances.
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in digital electrical engineering, preferably with experience in analog, digital, mixed-signal, high-speed, high-power, multilayer, flexi-rigid PCB layout design.
- Hands-on experience with schematic design environments, BOM/PL creation, design rules verification, debugging, component placement, constraint setting, and DRC checks.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Suite and other relevant tools.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
- Experience with Xpedition PCB Design Tools or equivalent CAD/CAE tools.
- Knowledge of data/library management tools and configuration management tools.
- Ability to generate complete drawings sets to document PWB and CCA level designs.
