Dishware Attendant

As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our dining area and kitchen. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas.
• Load and unload dishwashing machines.
• Wash specific items by hand (e.g., cutting boards, pots, pans, etc.).
• Store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment appropriately.
• Set up workstations before meal prep begins.
• Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses, and utensils, especially during peak hours.
• Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g., detergents) and place orders when necessary.
• Check washing machines' operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues.
• Maintain neat and organized work areas; to include sanitizing, sweeping, and mopping as needed.
• Remove garbage regularly.
• Assisting BOH team members with prepping and any other kitchen duties.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and work effectively in a team environment. Physical demands include standing for extended periods, bending, squatting, and lifting up to 50 lbs above waist level. Attention to detail and sanitation rules are also essential.
