Job Summary

Denver Health is seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Mom and Baby Unit. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care to post-partum patients and their newborns.

Responsibilities
  • Assess the needs of individuals, families, and communities to identify potential health or safety problems
  • Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records
  • Monitor, record, and report symptoms and changes in patient's condition and vital signs
  • Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patient's responses and conditions
  • Develop and modify patient care plans as indicated by patient's responses and conditions
  • Prepare patients for, and assist with examinations and treatments
  • Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
  • Monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity
  • Direct and supervise less skilled nursing/healthcare personnel
  • Instruct individuals and families on health education and disease prevention and aftercare
  • Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients
  • Medication administration, documentation, and reassessment
  • Promote positive patient experience
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree Required
  • Less than 1 year of experience in a direct patient care setting preferred
  • BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association Required
  • RN-Registered Nurse - DORA - Department of Regulatory Agencies Required
