About MRG Exams

As a dedicated provider of independent medical examinations, MRG Exams supports United States Veterans through the VA's disability benefits process. Our team delivers thorough, objective, and compassionate medical assessments that contribute to timely and accurate disability evaluations.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to conduct medical assessments for veterans in a non-treating role. This position is exclusively focused on independent medical assessments and does not involve treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze veterans' comprehensive medical records through a secure web portal.
  • Conduct in-depth, non-treating assessments of veterans to document their current health conditions.
  • Complete and submit Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) based on VA-specific templates to capture all relevant medical findings.
  • Assess up to four veterans daily.
Schedule

This full-time opportunity requires 2 days/week in person, with additional telehealth days available.

Requirements
  • A strong desire to perform independent medical assessments in a non-treating, investigative role.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and synthesizing data from comprehensive medical records and physical assessments.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to complete tasks within deadlines.
  • Comfort and efficiency in digital documentation and record review.
  • Dedication to serving veterans and making a positive impact in their lives.
Qualifications
  • An active MD or DO license with a specialization in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).
  • Board certification in Neurological Surgery, PM&R, or Psychiatry and Neurology is preferred.
  • Strong typing skills and attention to detail are essential.

Our competitive compensation package includes an annual salary of $175,000 - $225,000, depending on experience.
