Position Overview: Senior Lead Engineer

Role Summary: We are seeking a Senior Lead Engineer to oversee the operation and maintenance of chillers, boilers, and associated building systems. This role is crucial for maintaining high standards of facility management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the operation and upkeep of chillers, boilers, and building systems.
  • Supervise a team of Leads and Shift Engineers.
  • Ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Handle timekeeping and record-keeping responsibilities.
  • Oversee the issuance and closure of preventive maintenance tasks, including subcontractor coordination.
  • Conduct regular inspections and monitor equipment and systems both locally and remotely.
  • Respond to alarms and maintain operational logs.
  • Utilize testing equipment to analyze building operating systems and interpret results.
  • Document and report faults and unusual occurrences.
  • Input data and generate reports from the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Familiarize with emergency protocols and responses.
  • Address service calls and implement corrective measures.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • EPA CFC Universal Certification is mandatory.
  • Possession of a Journeyman HVAC License or a Second Grade Stationary License in the relevant jurisdictions is necessary.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience is essential.
  • Technical knowledge of Building Automation Systems, chillers, boilers, and air handling units is required.
  • Familiarity with emergency systems and mission-critical utilities is expected.
  • Experience in central plant operations, electrical systems, and general repairs is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, BAS, and CMMS databases is necessary.
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance is required.
