Job Overview

The DSD Customer Service Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring exceptional service delivery to both internal and external clients of Upstate Niagara Cooperative. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the company's offerings and a collaborative approach within the Customer Service Department to effectively assist customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver prompt and precise information regarding customer order statuses and product inquiries.
  2. Facilitate the processing of customer orders and modifications in accordance with established departmental protocols.
  3. Manage customer returns following set departmental guidelines.
  4. Collaborate with the Credit Department to address and resolve any disputed credit issues.
  5. Adhere to the daily work plan and maintain a structured schedule for customer calls, reporting any discrepancies to the DSD Customer Service Supervisor.
  6. Document daily activities related to scheduled calls.
  7. Perform data entry for incoming customer orders.
  8. Promote ongoing company-endorsed promotions to customers.
  9. Log and communicate all customer feedback and complaints.
  10. Provide timely updates to management regarding service disruptions or customer concerns.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree is preferred.
  • Prior experience in Customer Service or telemarketing is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
  • Availability to work on Saturdays and select holidays.
  • Flexibility to accommodate varying start times and days off.
