Job Title: Seasonal Recreation Leader

Join the City of Delray Beach, FL team as a Seasonal Recreation Leader We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to lead our recreational programs and activities.

Job Summary:

The Seasonal Recreation Leader will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising various recreational activities, games, programs, field trips, events, and sporting activities for age groups between pre-school aged to senior citizens. This role will also involve supervising a specified group of participants, providing a safe environment, and completing injury and/or incident reports as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise recreational activities, games, programs, field trips, events, and sporting activities for age groups between pre-school aged to senior citizens.
  • Supervise a specified group of participants indoors and outdoors, some with special needs.
  • Provide and maintain a safe environment for participants and complete injury and/or incident reports as required.
  • Conduct Crisis Response Drills, Fire Drills, and all emergency preparedness procedures.
  • Foster positive employee relations and employee morale on a City-wide basis.
Requirements:
  • High School graduation or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma, at least 18 years of age at time of application.
  • Six (6) months of verifiable experience in childcare, recreation programming, customer service, or related field.
  • Must possess a valid State of Florida Driver's License, with a good driving record.
  • Must possess or obtain CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Child Development Accreditation preferred.
