RAYUS Radiology is seeking a dedicated MRI Imaging Specialist to become a vital part of our professional team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating MRI scanners to capture detailed images of patients' bodies for diagnostic evaluation. With a focus on patient care, you will deliver MRI services adhering to high professional standards while ensuring exceptional customer service. Each patient visits our facilities seeking clarity and reassurance, and you will support them through this sometimes challenging experience by effectively communicating the process and addressing their inquiries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging

  • Conducts patient screenings prior to examinations to identify any precautions or contraindications, utilizing two patient identifiers to confirm the correct patient and procedure.
  • Prepares and educates patients about the MRI procedures, ensuring they understand the process and are positioned correctly for optimal imaging.
  • Executes both routine and advanced MRI procedures on specified body areas, assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions with minimal supervision and repeat scans, while providing continuous support to patients during the procedure.
  • Adjusts MRI scanning parameters as necessary to achieve the best possible results.
  • Fosters positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
  • Adheres strictly to physicians' directives and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  • Maintains accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Keeps the work area organized and clean, promoting safety for patients and coworkers.
  • Ensures compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.
  • Regularly checks and maintains equipment functionality, cleaning and disinfecting after each use.
  • Upholds all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.

(5%) MRI Department Support

  • Aids in updating the imaging protocol manual and implementing software upgrades.
  • Monitors inventory of medical supplies and requests replenishments as needed.
  • Assists in training new staff members, providing guidance and technical support as required.

(5%) Performs additional tasks as assigned.
