Job Summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our imaging team, you will be responsible for performing MRI procedures, maintaining equipment, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Imaging (75%):
    • Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats
    • Screen patients before exam for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examination
    • Prepare patients for MR procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, position patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned, and providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
    • Adjust scan parameters correctly and as needed
    • Maintain positive attitude and working relationships with radiologist, referring customers and other associates and peers
    • Converse with doctors, nurses, patients and family members as required
    • Follow physicians' orders precisely and conforms to safety regulations to protect themselves, their patients, and coworkers
    • Accurately maintain patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
    • Maintain an orderly and clean work area promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers
  • Imaging Support (20%):
    • Maintain equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
    • Assist with maintaining an updated MRI protocol manual and software upgrades
    • Monitor medical supply inventory
    • Assist with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise
  • Other Duties (5%):
    • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • ARMRIT or ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
  • Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Valid driver's license and proof of current insurance
  • MR certification
  • Bilingual
