Speech-Language Pathologist Job Description

Hazen Memorial Hospital Association is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our Rehabilitation department.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, augmentative alternative communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and diagnose speech and language disorders in patients
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to improve communication skills
  • Provide services for inpatients and outpatients, including evaluation, treatment, and follow-up care
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Document patient encounters and maintain accurate records
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Speech Pathology
  • A current license with the North Dakota State Board of Examiners on Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology
  • CPR certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications

One year of experience in speech pathology is preferred, but not required.
