Role Overview
The Out for Repair Planner will be responsible for guaranteeing that the company consistently has the appropriate materials and inventory to fulfill our customers' after-sales demands while also achieving company inventory objectives. To meet these goals, the planner will collaborate with various departments:
- Engineering and Product Development: Confirm that all new materials are systematically prepared and ready for procurement.
- Customer Service and Demand Planners: Gather relevant sales data to ensure an accurate forecast for future demand.
- Factory Teams: Place orders and verify timely shipment and delivery.
- Distribution: Ensure efficient and timely receipt and/or transit of materials to their final destination.
- Accounting: Facilitate prompt payment from customers.
Key Responsibilities
In fulfilling the primary objectives of this position, the Out for Repair Planner will undertake the following tasks on a weekly basis:
- Comprehend the schedule of all finished goods in development and the subsequent release of associated service parts.
- Ensure that pricing for relevant parts is available within the necessary timeframe.
- Collect and analyze historical sales data to construct forecasts for future demand.
- Examine trends in finished goods sales and utilize this data to inform parts forecasting.
- Maintain system parameters for the portfolio of parts and update reports critical to business operations.
- Define factory orders to guarantee an adequate supply of parts to meet customer demand.
- Monitor factory production to ensure adherence to the schedule.
- Oversee shipments and facilitate successful receipt by customers or at designated locations.
- Engage in weekly communication with the warehouse team to ensure necessary inventory is moved to customers.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to gather required information for timely payments to suppliers or from customers.
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Statistics, or Business Operations (or equivalent experience).
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in forecasting, demand planning, inventory management, transportation, distribution, purchasing, or manufacturing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications, with advanced skills in Excel.
- Exhibit strong statistical, analytical, and mathematical skills.
- Ability to develop and manage performance metrics.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Capability to work in a process-driven setting with strict deadlines and rapidly changing priorities.
- Experience with SAP is a plus.
Experience with statistical supply chain planning software is also advantageous.
