San Francisco, California, United States Cisco Full time

About Cisco ThousandEyes

Cisco ThousandEyes is a Digital Experience Assurance platform that empowers organizations to deliver flawless digital experiences across every network – even the ones they don't own.

Our platform is powered by AI and an unmatched set of cloud, internet, and enterprise network telemetry data, enabling IT teams to proactively detect, diagnose, and remediate issues – before they impact end-user experiences.

We are deeply integrated across the entire Cisco technology portfolio and beyond, helping customers deploy at scale while also delivering AI-powered assurance insights within Cisco's leading Networking, Security, Collaboration, and Observability portfolios.

About the Team

At Cisco ThousandEyes, we have a unique advantage: we move fast like a startup, but have the backing of a Fortune 100 company in Cisco.

By tapping into the broad Cisco ecosystem and the totality of networking data at our fingertips, we can provide our customers the appropriate context to solve their problems and drastically reduce their mean time to resolution.

About the Role

As a Senior Product Manager at ThousandEyes, you will be responsible for our Cloud Agent and Enterprise Agent components.

Enterprise Agents are a software artifact we deliver to customers to run within their premise as a component of our SaaS, while Cloud Agents are points of visibility we operate in more than 700 locations around the world to give an outside-in perspective for our customers.

Your mission will be to strategically grow the footprint of the Cloud Agent fleet and the hardware platforms and devices we support running Enterprise Agents on while being mindful of our operating model.

Responsibilities

  1. Work directly with the Cloud Agent Operations and Enterprise Agent engineering teams to align roadmaps and quarterly plans with the broader organizational strategy.
  2. Identify new geographical locations and use cases for Cloud Agents, as well as new device platforms and opportunities for Enterprise Agents.
  3. Deep dive into the way we build, secure, deploy, and operate agents at scale both within our Cloud Agent locations and how our customer practitioners make use of the Enterprise Agent to become a subject matter expert on all things CEA.
  4. Bring an entrepreneurial spirit and a focus on data-driven insights to help build a long-term strategy for the team.
  5. Generate and shepherd creative ideas, both large and small, that bring value to customers and the business.
  6. Stay hands-on with customers to keep them happy today, while gaining insight for future ideas.
  7. Thoughtfully prioritize to maximize the impact of organizational effort.

Qualifications

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager with:

  • Technical Acumen: You will work closely with engineering to understand technical tradeoffs and their impact on the product. Being comfortable in the code is a plus, but not required.
  • Product Sense: Our favorite product managers bring together insights from every corner (customers, engineering, design, and go-to-market teams) to design and build the best product experience.
  • Curiosity: The best candidates understand that creativity and growth start with a curious, humble mindset and asking thoughtful questions.
  • Ownership: The best product managers take the responsibility of delivering a successful product to heart, and step in wherever needed, even if crossing typical role boundaries; they never shy away from the details nor lose sight of the bigger picture.
  • Communication: Effective communication to any audience (company leadership, engineering, customers, and more) is key to success in this role.
  • Attitude & Ambition: The best candidates are smart, hard working, competitive, and not afraid to fail. They are team first but willing to take the lead with minimal guidance and supervision.

We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification. We believe that everyone has something to offer and that diverse teams are better equipped to solve problems, innovate, and create a positive impact.

Cisco is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, genetic information, age, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected basis.
