We are currently seeking a **Client Intake Nursing Specialist** to join our dedicated team. This role is essential within the Intake Team, responsible for evaluating all referrals with potential medical concerns prior to scheduling admissions.
Work Schedule: 3pm-11pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Possess a Nursing Degree (preferably a Registered Nurse, but LPNs with relevant experience will be considered).
- Hold an active Nursing License in Kentucky in good standing.
- Experience in mental health or substance abuse treatment is preferred.
- Understand the complexities of addiction and mental health issues.
- Familiarity with the 12-Step Recovery Program.
- Demonstrate problem-solving, stress management, ethics, and team-building skills.
- Knowledge of the effects of alcohol and other drugs on individuals and families.
- Ability to assess medical emergencies and respond appropriately.
- Understand emergency procedures for drug overdoses.
- Knowledge of withdrawal stages and appropriate interventions.
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations regarding addiction treatment, including confidentiality and client rights.
Experience and Education Requirements:
- Conduct telehealth assessments for referrals with medical concerns, utilizing phone screenings when necessary.
- Collaborate with the Client Access Team.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff to address client needs prior to treatment.
- Observe and evaluate clients for clinical signs and symptoms, adhering to treatment protocols.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and confidentiality standards.
- Protect client privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Adapt to changes in schedule and responsibilities as part of the treatment team.
- Report any policy concerns regarding client privacy to supervisors without fear of retaliation.
- Engage professionally with clients and staff.
- Adhere to confidentiality requirements as outlined in federal regulations.
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills within a Windows environment.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail.
- Effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
