About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Scientist to join our Natural Resources team at GHD Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting wetland delineations, ecological field studies, and other environmental assessments to support our clients' projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct wetland delineations and ecological field studies to identify and classify habitats
  • Collect and analyze data on water quality, sediment, and macroinvertebrates
  • Develop and implement work plans, reports, and other written communications
  • Evaluate and understand environmental regulations and policies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Biology, Ecology, or related field
  • 0-2 years of experience conducting wetland delineations and ecological field studies
  • Proficiency in managing and evaluating chemical and biological data using spreadsheets or database software
  • Familiarity with geographic information systems (GIS) applications software
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Physical ability to conduct strenuous field studies under field conditions
